Originally from Southern CA, at an early age, Ronnie was exposed to entrepreneurship and built his first business venture at only 16 years old. He played basketball on a professional level but was not able to graduate with a degree. Realizing that the world can be unkind to people without a college education, Ronnie knew that entrepreneurship would be his ticket to be an active contributor in his community, and that’s when he ventured into financial technology. 

“I got started in the technology industry when I noticed a need for a solution to help Americans who have struggled with understanding and improving their credit scores,” Ronnie Shared. Following his successful basketball career, he began investing in the real estate market right before it crashed. Ronnie struggled after losing a few properties and lost thousands of dollars on fraudulent credit repair specialists. “It was when a friend helped me actually do it the right way that I realized there was a need in the space, but I wanted to make it affordable for everyone using technology,” he added. 

CreditDash was built around the ideology of assisting Americans who struggle to improve their credit score and helping new entrepreneurs help others build or fix their credit scores. The platform is currently being relaunched to reach more users across the country. Ronnie and his team are going above and beyond in amplifying the power of CreditDash as a tool for financial education and literacy. The platform aims to address the often overlooked financial challenges within the middle to lower-income communities and make financial education more accessible and affordable for everyone who wants to turn their financial situations around. 

Besides CreditDash, Ronnie is also working on a mobile fitness app to help train business entrepreneurs to maintain a healthier and more active lifestyle despite their tight schedules. “I understand the struggles of being able to find the time to be in the best shape I can be in and also the struggles of being able to put on good muscle size; it’s much harder for taller people to put on big muscle mass because their limbs are so much longer than the average person,” the visionary shared. “I understand what it takes to dedicate yourself to achieving the maximum physical results with limited time and also what it takes to build enough muscle as a taller person,” he added. 

Asked what motivates him to be a change-maker, Ronnie said that he wants to be the instrument that uplifts others, both financially and physically. “So many people struggle with just the basic necessities because they don’t have the information or know where to get it from, so that’s where my passion comes from,” he said.

However, things are looking up for the highly turbulent NFT venture. Recently, it has undergone some changes after NFT influencer Hustler (Joe Vargas) took over. He has been a solid supporter of the project since its inception and the instrumental part of Not OKay Bears going viral, and now, he has acquired ownership of the whole Not Okay Bears project. In fact, Hustler is responsible for the viral quote “Solana is for the poor” which is now a part of the culture of Solana that has been embraced by the Solana community and even creators of Solana as humour. Hustler began the ‘Ethereum vs Solana’ war that was started as a competitive in nature banter. 

Hustler shared his plans to purchase the venture via the popular social media site Twitter. He wrote, “BREAKING: I just made an offer inside Not Okay Bears Discord to take over the project 100%. The founder has 6 hours to respond in my DMs or offer is off the table.” He then tweeted later that day, “Word is out. I am now the Founder [Owner] of @Not_OkayBears. We are really not going to be okay.”

Following this change, the new Not Okay Bears owner joined a Twitter space hosted by another NFT influencer. When people asked him about his decision to put a 7.5% royalty on secondary sales and how he could justify it, Hustler directly answered, “We don’t have to do anything … The project has no money. We can’t do anything with no money.”

While the response earned the frustration and dismay of many, Hustler and his supporters maintain that it was the right move and will fight the hypocrisy that runs rampant in web3. Hustler pointed out that the vast majority of the NFT space is hypocritical as the same people mad at what Not Okay Bears are doing, their wallet is filled with stolen art and derivatives that they are okay with as long as they are making money. After all, many other new and established projects impose royalties. Hustler even called out the criticisms made by some that only seem to target Not Okay Bears and not many other projects.

He expressed in the tweet, “GM to everyone besides the ppl that launched a new project and added 5%-10% royalties because that’s a big no-no to the NFT hypocrites. You’re new & not supposed to make money according to them. Shame on all of you. Don’t worry tho, they will cherry-pick who to be mad at.” 

Since the inception of Not Okay Bears, Hustler has added utility to support mental health awareness, added a roadmap to the project and much more. Not Okay Bears has donated over 35eth to support mental health awareness thus far and will continue to support the initiative in the future.

Nine thousand nine hundred of these mints come hand in hand with a load of perks, such as a share of the rolling royalties that will be distributed equally among the owners. For the 100 holders who will manage to get their hands on an Access Card, they will be on the receiving end of 2% of the rolling royalties set to be distributed to all Access Card owners. Meanwhile, the lucky holder of the rarest card, the Dream Card, will receive 1% of all rolling royalties for life.
