New Year’s Resolution to Find Love? The Match Artist Can Help

The holidays can be the most stressful time of year, especially for those who are single. Between the months of October and February, there are at least FIVE separate instances for your family to gather and eye you accusingly when you show up without a date. “But you’re so good looking!” Grandma might say. “I don’t understand why you can’t find anyone to date.”

Your family wants you to meet a nice partner with similar interests and values: someone who simultaneously makes you happy and cares for you so they don’t need to worry as much. However, you’ve been on the online dating apps for over a year, and your experiences thus far are not aligned with familial expectations.

Before you have to spend yet another Valentine’s Day explaining that yes, you are trying to date, but no, you haven’t found ‘the one’ because you can’t seem to match with anyone real on the dating apps, it might be time to reach out to the pros at The Match Artist. After all, they have experienced the struggle of online dating and made it out to the other side, alive and in love. They can help you create a dating profile by taking photos to help you stand out from the thousands of other guys who are trying to get their families off their backs.

“But you’re so good looking.”

While we know Grandma believes it, it can be difficult to believe in yourself when you feel like you can’t take a good picture to save your life. After a session with The Match Artist, however, you will see exactly what your grandma is talking about.

The Match Artist sets itself apart from ordinary photographers by training clients in facial expression coaching, which helps them adjust their faces and body language so they look more natural and comfortable on camera, which automatically makes them more attractive to matches. Nick Friesen and Shane White, founders of The Match Artist, used facial expression coaching to not only increase their matches on the online dating platforms, but eventually to meet their wives. One client even said he matched with his current girlfriend because she liked how he communicated with his eyes. He told The Match Artist, “The coaching on eye movement in pictures is life changing.”

In addition to the coaching, The Match Artist doesn’t shoot in a studio. They understand that you look your best when you are doing the things you love and are comfortable in your environment. Because The Match Artist wants to capture your most charming side, they work with you in your home and at your local hangouts. Sometimes, they are even willing to get a little adventurous. “We tailor your photo experience to highlight things you enjoy doing most. Whether it’s kayaking, rock climbing, flying a plane, reading, or drinking coffee, you’ll get more matches with a varied profile that accurately shows who you are.”

During the sessions, clients will take pictures in a variety of settings, outfits, and lighting so it looks like the photos were taken over time. The Match Artist also provides constant guidance on how to pose, where to look, and what to wear. They do all the thinking for you, so you only have to think about exuding the confidence and charm that Grandma swears you have. Nick Friesen says, “We’ll help you determine exactly what to wear, where to stand, and how to act so that there’s zero guesswork on game day, and all you have to do is show up.”

So they take good pictures. Big deal.

As it turns out, good pictures are the biggest deal when it comes to finding matches in online dating. Despite what people claim, profile pictures are the crucial first impression that determines whether users take notice or keep swiping. “The vast majority of people on dating apps will never read the bio without first being lured in by a photo that, for them, has potential.” The Match Artist clients see an almost immediate uptick in the quality and quantity of their matches. After their sessions with The Match Artist, the other dating app users are certainly interested to learn more. Clients even complain that they now have more dates than they can handle, just from changing their pictures.

One client said, “I put the pictures up yesterday, and now I’ve got a date tonight and tomorrow, and like 20 open conversations on Bumble. Definitely more than I have time for.”

The success rate is so high that several clients have gotten married to matches who were intrigued by their profile pictures. It even happened for Match Artist founders Nick Friesen and Shane White. They are proud that their efforts have led to even more connections, long-term relationships, marriages, and immeasurable love.

On a side note, they have had so many people getting into new relationships from their photos that they launched a sister company focused on couples, engagements, and weddings called The Wedding Artist.

In addition to better photos and more matches, Match Artist clients walk away feeling like new men both in the dating game and beyond. A reviewer noted, “Now, when someone views my profile—be it a dating app or Facebook or LinkedIn—they’re seeing the best side of me.” In professional and personal environments, Match Artist clients have confidence and are ready to take on the world.

How To Make Your Setback Story Your Comeback Story With Dr. Neeta Bhushan

Learning how to build resilience in life may transform one’s entire existence. Dr. Neeta Bhushan describes how the force of perseverance and tenacity helped her survive some of life’s most unfortunate circumstances while keeping the fire within herself alive in her new book ‘That Sucked. Now What?’

Dr. Neeta Bhushan became a mental health educator & transformational speaker after discovering her inner grit and perseverance, which enabled her to overcome all of the hardships she’s experienced thus far. She understands that difficulties are unavoidable and that without them, humanity cannot progress. In the end, how much stronger someone gets due to their anguish counts more than their level of agony. Neeta co-founded Global Grit and Dharma Coaching Institute to help people discover their inner power and grit.

The power of being resilient helped Dr. Bhushan overcome an abusive marriage and live with the grief of losing both her parents and brother before the tender age of 19. When asked what resilience means to her, Dr. Bhushan replies, “Your ability to bounce back. Most people think that building resilience is all about mental toughness. It is not. If you take a glass of water and let it go, it’ll shatter into a million pieces. But when you take a basketball, it’s tough but has that softness where you can bounce and have the agility to flow. It’s not so rigid.”

Dr. Bhushan’s That Sucked. Now What? How to embrace the joy in chaos and find magic in the mess’ is an unapologetic guide to personal growth that draws on and welcomes “the suck”—while assisting the readers in breaking through to long-term, bold resilience.

It helps the reader discover why it’s so difficult to get back up after falling, and how four essential aspects of life determine one’s particular Bounce Factor. Jay Shetty, Jenna Kutcher, Jim Kwik, among other industry heavyweights have praised the way the book helped them shape their lives for the better.

Dr. Bhushan explains, “It’s about the acknowledgment of what happened and not denying that it didn’t happen. It happened and is all right now. It’s about following the mantra of now and realizing we’re not going to sit in this suck. We still want to feel it. And acknowledge it.”

The Fly Forward framework from Falling to Igniting, Rising, Magnifying, and subsequently Thriving that Dr. Bhushan talks about in the book allows the readers to take any setback that life throws at them – no matter how big or small, with grace.

According to Dr. Bhushan, the various ways in which someone can achieve unshakeable resilience is by following the following steps.

Making peace with your upbringing and acknowledging it

  • Taking into account the things we were taught when we were young. Were we allowed to feel our feelings? Were we allowed to speak our truth? Were we allowed to talk and be listened to by our elders?

Welcoming good stress

  • Analyze your current environment. Are we complacent? Are we allowing ourselves to be challenged when we’re thinking about building unshakable resilience? Are we exposing ourselves to the things that scare us?

Addressing your emotional capacity

  • Are we allowing ourselves to feel those emotions? Do we judge ourselves? If we are judging our emotions, where’s that coming from? Is it coming from our upbringing? Is it coming from the fact that we couldn’t hold our anger? So that when somebody else shows their anger, we can’t hold it or we can’t work?

Building your (RSA) radical self-awareness

  • RSA is that subtle awareness. Some people call it intuition; others call it leaning into ourselves. It is that muscle that we tend to build when we know things are out of integrity, things are out of alignment, and things no longer feel good to our nervous system. Asking questions like- Do we want to go to that party or are we doing it for the show? Are we overextending ourselves right now, or am I just going to push until I burn out?

Having survived so much pain and heart-wrenching adversity, Dr. Bhushan still carries kindness in herself that allows her to share with the world.

“It’s my mission to help other people embrace the magic in their mess, to embrace the joy in chaotic moments. And to give permission to people to break down, to move through with grace and ease. We’re choosing to go through these hard emotions with a sense of clarity that is hard because it’s easy to distract ourselves. It’s easy to shove it under the rug. It’s easy to bypass our emotions. But that is not how one builds unshakeable resilience.”

The Life Coach School Helps People Transition into New, Fulfilling Careers

Do you feel stuck in your current situation? The Life Coach School can help you leave it. This life-changing school offers individualized coaching from talented life coaches as well as a certification program that enables you to become a life coach yourself.

The Life Coach School is a unique training and coaching program that takes people from their current careers into ones they truly want. Judith Gaton, for example, transitioned from being a lawyer to becoming a style and image coach through her involvement with the school. Former accountant Kara Gaisie transformed into a money-mindset and business coach. Many psychologists, psychiatrists, and other mental health professionals are drawn to the school as it widens the range of assistance they can provide clients.

The Life Coach School’s CEO, Erika Royal, understands the program’s advantages from personal experience. In her previous career, she was a Harvard-educated corporate attorney for 22 years.

The spark of change

While Royal enjoyed litigation in the beginning, as the years went on, she began to lose touch with her initial motivation. In addition, her domestic responsibilities contributed to her feeling overburdened and resentful.

“My mind used to go a million miles a minute,” she said. “As a woman professional and mother of three small children, I felt stuck in an endless loop, and I was just always thinking of the next thing I had to do. I was very caught up in making sure that my life worked, but not actually living it and being in it.”

When she got back from a family vacation and found herself enjoying it for the first time only while making a photo book, Royal understood she had a problem. “I went, ‘Oh my God, I wasn’t even there,” she said. “My husband saw me making this book, and asked, ‘What are you doing?’ I answered, ‘I’m finally enjoying this.’ I realized then that I was just really unhappy in my life.”

Working with a certified life coach from The Life Coach School helped Royal change her mindset. In the end, this small adjustment triggered a whole new life.

A shift in mindset

One of the first things Royal’s life coach had her do was write down a list of 25 things she really wanted.

“I started writing the list, but I got stuck when I got to 12,” she said. “It’s hard to come up with 25 things. Then, [my life coach] said to include things that you already have. That helped me realize that the life I had — a corporate lawyer, married with three children — was a life that I created. When I was in law school, this is what I wanted more than anything. I created this because I wanted it.”

Remembering her past desires shifted how Royal thought about her present situation, enabling her to shed difficult feelings and recommit to her family. “It increased my own happiness so much in terms of how I felt about my life and my relationships with my children with my husband,” she said.

That’s why she credits The Life Coach School for changing her life. “My life coach made me see that I could choose to see myself as a victim, or choose to see myself as someone who should be grateful, who was so blessed and so lucky — someone who had choices,” she said. “I learned that I was in control of my own happiness because I was in control of my own thoughts.”

Empowered by this realization, Royal began taking certification classes at The Life Coach School on the side. Once she completed the program, she took clients while still working as a lawyer. When the school’s founder, Brooke Castillo, asked her to become CEO, she was able to quit her day job completely.

Be the person you want to be

According to Royal, the biggest way The Life Coach School helps people change their lives for the better is by helping them create the belief that it’s possible. The school’s coaches and instructors also provide powerful examples of what’s possible by switching careers, including the freedom to work remotely, greater work/life balance and flexibility, as well as increased income.

“If you believe you’re going to be rejected, or if you believe that you’re not going to be successful, then no matter how great your plan is, you’re not going to do it,” Royal said. “You need to go in and root out those beliefs, those unconscious drivers that you have. Find them and deal with them.”

With the help of The Life Coach School, people can not only develop this self-awareness but also learn how to give themselves permission to be the person they want to be. “People need to understand that it’s okay to change your mind,” Royal said. “It’s okay to shift and pivot. If that’s one thing that 2020 taught us, it’s that things can change very quickly, and so can you.”

Dr. Josiah Jackson: Providing educational and inspirational resources for families with youth in school

Dr. Josiah Jackson is a highly-respected figure in education and family advocacy. As an ordained minister, educator, motivational speaker, and parent advocate, Dr. Jackson has dedicated her career to empowering and encouraging families of cultural communities to grow naturally and spiritually.

As the sixth child of eleven, Dr. Jackson received salvation at 18 while in college and has been a long-time member of the Church of God in Christ, Inc. She began her teaching career 30 years ago in Minneapolis-St. Paul public, private, and charter schools, and serving as a parent advocate for Minneapolis Parent Information Centers. Her robust outreach to families in and out of school has earned her a reputation as an education and family advocacy leader.

Throughout her journey, Dr. Jackson has overcome numerous challenges, including her teaching career, the death of her parents, and being laid off from jobs due to lack of funding. Despite these setbacks, she has remained passionate about education and motivated to help others. Her experience as an actor, writer, author, and publisher of three books, God Called Her Josiah, An Autobiography by Josiah Jackson, Leap of Faith, and Come Get These Kids, has further solidified her reputation as a leader in the field of family advocacy.

As a Parent Advocate Coach, Dr. Jackson focuses on effectively empowering parents to represent their children in advocacy and communication settings. As a parent advocate coach, she helps busy, frustrated, and stressed-out Black and Brown women in business or with jobs with school-aged children to become dynamic parents. This is done through proactive prayers, encouraging words, and motivation, so their children will grow up to be effective future leaders. Using a digital parental blueprint program, she instructs parents to ask questions, voice concerns, seek assistance, and escalate issues as necessary. Her inspiring words, fervent prayers, and magnetic personality endear her to all around her. She plants seeds for the community by praying, affirming, and promoting the development of children and families.

Dr. Jackson’s area of expertise as a Parent Advocate Coach assists parents in achieving the most favorable possible position from which they can advocate and speak on behalf of their child. Her direct experience as a caregiver coach and parent advocate gives her a unique perspective on the demands of families. She assists parents through direction, support, and resources so they can navigate the complex education landscape.

It’s safe to assume that most people have experienced happiness and despair at various points—setbacks, as Dr. Jackson describes them. There was a time when she worried about obstacles getting in her way. She eventually realized that difficulties made her more resilient and powerful. She has always been bound and determined to succeed and help those around her. Despite triumphing over adversity, the one person who had ever validated her was no longer in her life. Her mom looked like that. Her mother told her to “teach for five years and then if you want to do anything else, do that” when she started her first teaching position. Educate to test the waters, at the very least. Her mother’s death caused her to leave the classroom after five years.

In Josiah’s view, we each have our benchmarks for success. Dr. Jackson’s upbringing in a Christian household, where she was taught to have a high regard for God, reverence for others, and respect for one’s academic abilities, has shaped her outlook on life. Having a partner and walking the road God has for her are two measures of success. The goal is for her to be a vessel through which Jesus Christ’s light might be beamed onto everyone around her. She would advise others that the key to happiness is to love and have a relationship with God. If you let Him, He will use you to spread His joy to a world that desperately needs it.

Although Josiah wears several hats, she possesses the best of three arenas, thanks to her expertise in education, the food service industry, and ministry. As a result, she balances her passion for teaching with her love of cooking and her desire to preach to people from all walks of life. Dr. Jackson received her ministerial ordainment in June 2019. Africa, Ethiopia, and Israel were some of the destinations she visited while on her trip with Youth On A Mission.

Dr. Josiah Jackson’s brand is a perfect choice if you are a parent, teacher, or family-minded person. With a mission to educate, empower, and encourage families, she is dedicated to helping families thrive and succeed. “My mission is to educate, empower, and encourage families of cultural communities to grow naturally and spiritually,” Dr. Jackson uttered.

9 Gifts That Anyone in Your Life Will Appreciate

There’s always that special someone who is impossible to find a gift for. While some people crave the obscure and unusual, others prefer practical gifts that they can use. Then there are those friends who seem to already have everything or constantly tell you that there’s nothing they want or need. Here are nine ideas to help turn a gift-giving nightmare into the present of their dreams!

#1. Furry Friends

Sometimes the best gifts aren’t meant for people at all! For those who enjoy the company of their furry companions, give them a gift that will help bring their best friends everywhere they go. A travel dog carrier from Wild One provides the perfect home-away-from-home for smaller pets hitting the road with their humble humans. A mesh screen keeps things comfy and cool while the fold-out mat lets your canine or cat relax after long flights or drives.

#2. Traveling Tunes

There’s nothing as fun as bringing the party with you, and nothing keeps the festivities going like great music. Waterproof outdoor speakers from JBL are the perfect gift for people who enjoy spending their time in nature no matter the weather. Combining weatherproofing and durability with excellent style and attractive colors, these speakers can handle everything from a day on the slopes to a night-long beach bonfire. Add in a five-hour battery life and the good times never have to stop.

#3. A Leg Up

Leggings are a staple for any woman’s closet, young or old, and everyone wants to add a little sparkle to their life. Pixie Lane’s high shine leggings give every step a glimmer that can’t be beaten. While dazzling sequins and eye-catching glitter may seem like uncomfortable options, the soft brushed interior layer keeps you warm and cozy on colder days. Four-way stretch offers a great fit in a variety of youth sizes, with an elastic waist that won’t cinch during the school day. Their machine washability ensures that they’ll remain your favorite leggings for a long while, too!

#4. IV Rejuvenation

If you’re feeling under the weather or just tired from the daily grind, the last thing you want to do is sit around a waiting room until the doctor is ready to see you. Instead of going to a walk-in filled with potential pathogens, why not have the treatment come to you? With services such as IV drip therapy from The I.V. Doc, you can give the gift of wellness that friends and family can enjoy right in their own homes. Instead of pills and oral medications, relief is delivered intravenously, so the treatments have an immediate effect.

#5. Thoughtful Throws

Home decor can be a real challenge, especially for parents of pets and preschoolers just waiting to make a mess of anything on the floor. That’s why Tumble’s washable rugs are a great gift for anyone looking to liven up their living room without the worry of compromised carpeting. Not only are Tumble rugs machine washable, but they also resist stains and spills while lying on non-slip padding to keep rooms arranged in just the right way.

#6. Scratch-Off Scares

Even the most devoted film buff may not have seen all the classics. With over 100 movies to add to their bucket list, the horror-themed scratch-off poster from Me Time Joy makes a perfect present. Featuring 1980’s The Fly and 2018’s Hereditary to lesser-known gems including Eraserhead and Suspiria, there are sure to be a few films they haven’t gotten to. If horror flicks aren’t their thing, consider scratching off the best anime or Oscar winners to help them fill out their Netflix queue.

#7. Dressing Up or Down

Kimonos are one of those items of clothing that can do virtually anything. From lounging around the house to heading out for a night on the town, a kimono by Johnny Was exudes extravagance no matter where it’s worn. Offering a variety of styles, most feature pockets that make it an excellent option for the couch or restaurant. Kimonos can even dress up a casual outfit if you pair it with your favorite pair of blue jeans and a comfy tee.

#8. Self-Care Package

It’s difficult to set time aside to take care of yourself. Gifting a subscription box is an excellent way to give your loved ones an excuse to practice some self-care. With Feeling Fab’s subscription selections, you can create a custom box hand-curated with everything needed for a top-notch home spa session. Gifts should bring joy to both the giver and receiver, and what could be better than adding to the beauty of nature? Kids and adults alike will love watching their dreams grow with plantable wish cards from Uncommon Goods. Each notecard contains a selection of wildflowers that make their way to the surface several weeks after planting. Simply write a wish on the card with the included pencil before planting and watch as annual and perennial wildflowers bloom.

Gifts for Any Occasion

Whether you need to find the perfect present for a holiday or special event, choosing the right gift can be a challenge. While you might spend hours sifting through catalogs and web pages, the ideal candidate may be right under your nose. Instead of trying to find an off-the-wall surprise, look to these options for unique ideas that will point you in the direction of a gift your loved ones are sure to cherish.

Union Rescue Mission’s Role In Helping The Homeless

Homelessness is a traumatic, dangerous, and humiliating experience. In the United States, the average age of death for the homeless is 45 for men and 43 for women.

Homeless people are about 17X more likely to become victims of violence. Over one-third of those sleeping on the streets have been intentionally hit, kicked, or subjected to other forms of harassment while homeless.

According to some research studies, homeless people are nine times more prone than the average population to commit suicide.

Based on a survey conducted in 2019, Skid Row inhibits one of the largest populations of approximately 4,200–8,000 homeless people in the United States. The place has been known for its considerable homeless population since the 1930s. Its long history of police raids, targeted city initiatives, and homelessness advocacy make it one of the most notable districts in Los Angeles.

When discussing the reasons for the existence of neighborhoods such as Skid Row in America, one topic that constantly comes to the forefront is poverty. Cities in every corner of the world, both developed and developing, are always poverty hotspots.

With its flexibility to immigration — and Los Angeles in particular as an entry point for many immigrants — America is exposed to the hardships of poverty. Many people who come to America consider it as a place where they can start afresh. However, they are frequently left with little to no resources.

Another primary reason for Skid Row’s existence is that the American political system and culture offer possibilities for people to achieve or fail on their own — while also providing a safety net for those who do not succeed. Many of these social services are concentrated in the downtown area. When people go through tough times, they gravitate to a place where these services are available, forming a community of service-dependent persons in that location.

To add a spiritual dimension, we must not forget that Jesus has commanded us in his disciples (Matthew 26:11) that “the poor will always be with us — every culture will have poor people because of the nature of this world.”

Union Rescue Mission – (URM)

Union Rescue Mission (URM) helps people with Christ’s compassion. It is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1891. It is now one of the largest rescue missions in the United States and the oldest in Los Angeles.

For nearly 130 years, people in trouble and despair have come to Union Rescue Mission for assistance. URM is dedicated to life-changing ministry through the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as evidenced by the key values of respect, relate, redeem, and restore.

With the increased inflammation in the world today, it is nearly impossible to stop poverty. However, this does not mean we turn our backs on those suffering from poverty and homelessness. As a result, they have been subjected to a number of traumas that have worsened to the point that these homeless people have committed suicide.

Homelessness breeds hopelessness, which breeds suicidal thoughts; if the person is not assisted, they may commit suicide.

URM is working hard to reduce homelessness and hopelessness by guaranteeing that no one is turned away when they come to their door with the promise of improving their life.

Nevertheless, URM couldn’t have done it on its own. Sponsors like Peter Zepina have helped this non-profit organization succeed in its purpose and will continue to do so. You, too, can assist the homeless and serve the people in need by providing funds for education, food, counseling, medical care, and other fundamental necessities that any homeless person may require.

Visit URM’s website to learn more about the URM Community and how they are spreading happiness, assisting humanity, and making a significant difference in the lives of the homeless.

From Brazilian Butt Lift to Breast Reduction – Dr. Adam Kinal provides dream results

What is breast reduction surgery?

Breast reduction, otherwise known as reduction mammoplasty, is a surgery involving the removal of fat, breast tissue and skin from the breast area.

Why take breast reduction surgery?

People who experience back pains due to the added weight of large breasts are more susceptible to long-term chronic back, neck and shoulder pain. Not only that, some patients go through moments of low self-esteem due to the body image attached to their physique. Aside from this, there is also the general discomfort brought by the extra mass- people tend to experience rashes, chafing, and even bleeding. Treatment for breast reduction aims to solve these main problems.

In an age where stress and depression are considered the prerequisites of a successful lifestyle, people try to find solace in the little things, whether hanging out with friends or binging Netflix in the seclusion of their homes. According to a report from Statista, the number of surgical and non-surgical cosmetic procedures has grown in the last decade, going from 1.6 million in 1997 to 5.5 million in 2020 alone.

This proves that people exposed to mental stress for periods of time often exhibit symptoms of early aging, therefore the increase in plastic surgeries. We sat down with Dr. Adam Kinal, a Board-Certified surgeon and Fellowship Trained Cosmetic Surgeon, to find out why people need plastic surgeries and whether or not they truly play any role in improving the mental state of the patients.

Tell us a bit about yourself, Doctor.

Dr. Adam Kinal: I have wanted to become a doctor since I was a child, mainly because of my mother; she was my inspiration. It was kind of an obsession for me, but my medical journey started in Jamaica, where I helped small villages as a medical practitioner. After that came my training at the Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center, which is one of the largest public hospitals and medical training facilities in the United States. After years of hard work and grueling hours, I finally got my dream opportunity. I was selected for a fellowship program at the Southern Surgical Arts, one of the busiest and best surgical practices nationwide. There I worked on more than 1,200 cases in the first year alone.

After practicing in South Florida and working at various Miami facilities, I was able to perfect my BBL technique and moved to Los Angeles. During my career, I’ve performed thousands of surgeries at Eden Cosmetic Surgery and Boris Cosmetic Surgery.

You said you were obsessed with becoming a doctor, but why did you choose to be a cosmetic surgeon?

Dr. Adam Kinal: I’m not the first doctor in my family, so my interest stemmed from there. I was 15 years old when I decided to be a surgeon. I had a clear-cut goal in front of me and the strategy necessary to achieve it. As for why I chose cosmetic surgery, it’s mostly because – most of my patients are stressed about their looks and their physique, and they believe that they can’t do anything about it. They feel trapped in a shell that they’re not comfortable in. I chose cosmetic surgery because I want people to be comfortable in their bodies. I want them to embrace and love themselves, so they don’t shy away from living their lives to the fullest.

Is there any special diet plan or regimen your patients must follow post-surgery?

Dr. Adam Kinal: It’s very important that patients follow a strict diet consisting of lean proteins like fresh fruits, vegetables and probiotics. They need to stay hydrated, quit smoking, and limit alcohol, sodas, and processed foods for good. I also advise light exercise after a few weeks of the procedure, at least till their body has recovered.

A lot of patients are emotionally distressed when they come to you. Is there any procedure that you follow to assess whether or not the patient should undergo surgery?

Dr. Adam Kinal: Usually, I draft a report on the patient because it’s a big step in their lives, and I make sure they want surgery. Another problem is that patients often have unrealistic expectations, so I try my best to help them visualize a realistic result, so they are delighted.

Do you have any advice for people looking to become cosmetic surgeons?

Dr. Adam Kinal: I want to say that it’s a lengthy process, and it’s not easy at all, but in the end, what matters is the happiness of the people you will help. The younger generation has grown more conscious of their looks and want to feel comfortable in their bodies, so as long as you help improve someone’s life, I think that’s all that matters, no matter what you do.

Noctex is keeping the creativity flowing

A brand that has revolutionized handmade fashion in Canada and US by bringing forth designs never seen before is none other than Noctex. With collections that revolve around themes of growth and change, the approach of the brand is to introduce innovative and unique attire. While Noctex currently has numerous creative designers on its team, the distinctive approach adopted by it is based on the vision of Negin Izad.

Negin started drawing designs at the tender age of seven. Being so young, she didn’t know much about fashion, but she always found herself getting attached to certain clothes for years at a time. If she liked a pair of pants, she would wear them day after day. Even then, she would focus on how the clothes made her feel instead of blindly following the trends. At the age of 14, she started making outfits that were fused with different styles. Negin mixed metal, punk, and alternative scenes to create clothes that were not generic. Hence, she stood out no matter what she wore. By the time she was 18, she had learned the art of fashion.

The philosophy of Noctex is to create unique clothes that can be introduced into our lifestyles with ease. The brand sells everything from tops and dresses to denim, patches, stickers, boots, cruelty-free cosmetics, nail polish, jewelry, and accessories. If you haven’t checked out Noctex yet, you are missing out since the brand is a trailblazer in introducing innovative and trendy designs. Here’s why you should give this creative brand a shot:

Developing unique designs

When visiting Noctex, expect to be served with creations that are eccentric and comfortable. And yes, the assortment is one that you won’t be able to find elsewhere. Talking about the customers, Negin shares, “Our loyal clientele describe our style as the ‘grown-up goth’ like you are still cool and have your sick playlists, but you have a job and got to have something to wear to that formal event. It’s for people who want that grungy utilitarian look.” One thing is for sure, no matter which style statement you opt for, an outfit from Noctex will make you look sassy and perfect.

Choosing comfort first

Since childhood, Negin has always opted for comfort first, and she wants her customers to feel the same way. “I picture our customers a lot like myself,” reveals Negin, “They aren’t dressing for Instagram or influencer pictures, they are dressing for real life, and real life is busy and messy. At the end of the day, you just want to feel good in what you are wearing and know it will take you from morning to night.”

Use of deadstock textile

The mainstream fashion industry is responsible for over 10% of humanity’s carbon emissions. This makes it one of the leading culprits in the world. To counter the damage already done, many brands are now aiming to reduce the volume of waste created through the textile industry. Using deadstock textiles is one of the environmental-friendly ways of creating fashion. Deadstock is the leftover stock in textile mills, where the material usually rots away in the factory till it’s eventually discarded. Hence, utilizing it to create clothes is a much more viable option. According to Negin, although deadstock is not perfect, it’s an avenue that allows the brand to cut back on virgin material extraction while providing lower price-point items to the customers. Negin decided to use deadstock since she worked at a vintage shop in 2011 and is aware that at least 90% of the collection is discarded in the end. So why not revamp those items and save the planet?

Not following the typical trend

The fact is that one shouldn’t follow a fashion trend blindly, especially if it doesn’t fit one’s personality. This is exactly what the concept behind Noctex is – the brand creates clothes that are comfortable, sustainable, and include that special timeless detail. “I wanted to make clothes that revolved around people’s daily lives, not events or special occasions,” explains Negin, adding that fashion trends come and go; hence the idea is to not follow the typical trend.

Due to the dire impact of climate change in the form of natural disasters, it has become crucial for every industry to opt for options that cause the least harm to the environment. And by using a different approach to fashion, Noctex has kept creativity flowing in the fashion world while doing its bit for the planet! If you are one of those who want to stand out from the crowd, check out the brand and develop a style that is bound to make heads turn.
