Phoebe Dynevor Excited to Watch ‘Bridgerton’ Season 3 as a Viewer, Future Prospects Uncertain

Phoebe Dynever, who played Daphne on Netflix’s hit series Bridgerton, has announced that she won’t be appearing in Season 3.

Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton will be the main characters of the upcoming season, leaving Daphne’s role unexplored for the time being.

Dynevor assured fans that she would make a comeback in the future, but for the time being, she is looking forward to watching season 3 as a viewer.

“Sadly not in season 3. Potentially in the future. But season 3, I’m just excited to watch as a viewer,” Dynevor said.

There was no comment from the actress or Netflix regarding the matter. Still, fans can look forward to more exciting Regency-era romance and drama in the next season.

The news of Daphne’s absence from Season 3 of Bridgerton comes as no surprise, as each season of the show focuses on a different brother in the Bridgerton family.

The first season followed Daphne and Regé-Jean Page’s Simon Basset, Duke of Hastings, while the second season followed Anthony Bridgerton and Kate Sharma.

Bridgerton Season 3

Despite Daphne’s absence, fans can expect to see more of the love story between Anthony and Kate in the upcoming season. The focus will be on Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton, with the season set to explore their relationship and personal struggles.

However, don’t expect a quick resolution to their problems, as the second season ended with Penelope overhearing Colin mocking her in front of his friends, and Eloise discovering her identity as the mysterious gossip author Lady Whistledown.

Overall, the upcoming season promises to be full of twists and turns, and fans can expect more of the Regency-era drama and romance they have come to love.

While it will be bittersweet to see Daphne take a brief leave, her absence will make room for new characters and storylines to take center stage.

“Penelope needs to realize Colin is a fallible human being,” Coughlan said in a previous interview with EW.

“He’s not a god; he’s not an Adonis. If they’re ever going to have any type of relationship, it’s not healthy for her to see him in that way. She’s got to see him flaws and all, and she currently doesn’t. In the long run, it’s probably a good thing, but it’s not going to be an immediate good thing.”
