Fix Botched Botox and Filler Injections and Achieve Natural-looking Beauty

If you’re unsatisfied with your appearance because of unbalanced features or facial lines and wrinkles, you might be considering dermal fillers or Botox neurotoxin injections. With the aesthetic industry booming, new master injectors and beauty gurus seem to pop up in your social media feed multiple times each day. You want to receive safe and effective Botox or filler treatments and achieve natural-looking results, but with so many practitioners vying for your attention, it can be difficult to know who to trust when it comes to having needles injected into your face. Even if you’re already an experienced cosmetic filler patient who has had your lips and undereye hollows filled each year, how can you know how much filler is too much? If you want to avoid undesirable outcomes that can result from botched Botox and filler injections, you should be cautious when choosing a cosmetic injectable provider.

How Botox and Dermal Filler Issues Arise

Sadly, some injectors continue to inject patients with filler or Botox even when they should say, “No more, that’s enough.” At High Point Medspa, we always have your best interests in mind. Well-respected aesthetic provider and High Point Medspa founder Anya Stassiy, PA-C, leverages her expertise and knowledge of the aging process to make personalized recommendations for Botox treatments that help our clients achieve their aesthetic goals. Anya is a licensed Physician Assistant certified in neurotoxins and fillers and a well-respected cosmetic injectable practitioner with over 15 years of experience specializing in medical and aesthetic dermatology. Her comprehensive knowledge of the intricate musculature and circulatory system just beneath the skin enables her to ensure her patients’ safety by placing cosmetic injections precisely to deliver the most desirable aesthetic results. As an advanced injector who prioritizes her patients’ safety, Anya has perfected the crucial skills necessary to ensure the best outcomes for her patients’ aesthetic procedures.

Botox and Filler Correction

We have the knowledge and experience to easily recognize when a patient has been overfilled or over-Botoxed before consulting with us. We frequently see patients for lip injections who have had fillers in the past. We always examine them for migration of filler above the lip and also below the lip into the mucosa. Patients frequently don’t realize that their filler has migrated and are surprised to learn that we need to take corrective steps before we can inject any new filler. Unfortunately, a large portion of our cases involves dissolving filler in patients who have been overfilled. And just like you wouldn’t put a fresh layer of paint over old, chipping paint, we won’t inject new filler until the old, migrated filler is dissolved.

A patient recently visited our office complaining of undereye bags. She had even had surgery to correct them, but it didn’t solve the problem. What was very obvious from the start of the visit, and which she confirmed, was that years ago, she had filler injected to mask her under-eye bags and either too much filler or the wrong filler was placed, or the wrong technique was used, resulting in more prominent bags.

Client Education Is Key

At High Point, we always educate patients as to realistic results and the potential side effects of Botox and fillers. In all cases where patients come to High Point Medspa after too much filler has been injected by another practitioner, we correct the problem using an enzyme called hyaluronidase, known by the brand name Hylanex. We inject this enzyme into the migrated or botched filler to dissolve it. Once the problematic filler is gone, we can reinject with proper filler and technique.

Botox is the most common non-surgical procedure, and at High Point Medspa, we specialize in Botox injections to correct brow asymmetry. Heavy-handed Botox can lead to low-set, flat  brows and excess upper-lid skin. We take our time during every consultation to examine the patient’s face and brow position and explain how their asymmetric brows can be corrected and what results to expect from Botox. For some patients, the best treatment may be laser and surgery instead of Botox. Although there is no substance to dissolve Botox, and it takes a few months for an undesirable effect to resolve, most of the poor outcomes can be avoided through our careful patient selection, proper injection technique, appropriate dosing, and taking the time to inform our patients of what results to expect.

High Point Medspa is known for providing personalized treatment experiences to our clients, including neurotoxin and filler injection plans tailored to their specific needs and desired outcomes. Our success in helping our clients achieve their aesthetic goals has earned us an outstanding reputation.
