Botox and Filler Correction 

We have the knowledge and experience to easily recognize when a patient has been overfilled or over-Botoxed before consulting with us. We frequently see patients for lip injections who have had fillers in the past. We always examine them for migration of filler above the lip and also below the lip into the mucosa. Patients frequently don’t realize that their filler has migrated and are surprised to learn that we need to take corrective steps before we can inject any new filler. Unfortunately, a large portion of our cases involves dissolving filler in patients who have been overfilled. And just like you wouldn’t put a fresh layer of paint over old, chipping paint, we won’t inject new filler until the old, migrated filler is dissolved. 

A patient recently visited our office complaining of undereye bags. She had even had surgery to correct them, but it didn’t solve the problem. What was very obvious from the start of the visit, and which she confirmed, was that years ago, she had filler injected to mask her under-eye bags and either too much filler or the wrong filler was placed, or the wrong technique was used, resulting in more prominent bags.

Client Education Is Key 

At High Point, we always educate patients as to realistic results and the potential side effects of Botox and fillers. In all cases where patients come to High Point Medspa after too much filler has been injected by another practitioner, we correct the problem using an enzyme called hyaluronidase, known by the brand name Hylanex. We inject this enzyme into the migrated or botched filler to dissolve it. Once the problematic filler is gone, we can reinject with proper filler and technique.

Botox is the most common non-surgical procedure, and at High Point Medspa, we specialize in Botox injections to correct brow asymmetry. Heavy-handed Botox can lead to low-set, flat  brows and excess upper-lid skin.
