His heightened passion for the entertainment industry resulted in his incredible vision as a Hollywood producer. Dr. Brummer always hoped to be part of the showbiz industry someday. As a doctor, his role with patients has always been sacred, and they are his top priority. However, he always wanted to be a part of this glamorous world, and his dream finally came true once he started producing movies. His hard work definitely paid off when he worked with some of the world’s best production houses, including the streaming giant Netflix.

Dr. Brummer received his medical degree from the NYU School of Medicine. He then went on to complete his emergency medicine residency at the University of Pennsylvania and graduated from the prestigious Howard University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Currently, he is the President and CEO of A Safe Way Forward in Pasadena, California, and is a superb emergency physician. Over 100 specialist practices, including occupational health, urgent care, emergency departments, and freestanding emergency departments, have been created and put into operation by him. It provided a thorough medical strategy to securely launch film, television shows, music, and festival productions in a pre-vaccine COVID-19 time. A group of board-certified emergency physicians with significant experience in infectious diseases, safety procedures, and operations provide guidance for every show. As a producer, Dr. Brummer has made 10 indie films and television shows in the span of three years. Some of these movies include live-action, historical dramas, and romantic comedies. Despite COVID-19’s adverse effects on these films, including Tribeca and Cinequest, his movies have premiered at several film festivals across the US, earning more than $25 million that have gone toward their production costs. There was nothing that could stand between him and his love for entertainment, and he proved that anything is possible if you have your heart set on something. 

Savoy Brummer has worked with Higher Ground through Netflix and was asked to direct a documentary on national memorials at the start of the pandemic in Hawaii. The crew was made up of a select group of skilled photographers and production personnel, so it was an absolute pleasure for Dr. Brummer when he was approached to helm the project. The crew’s intellectual curiosity pleased Dr. Brummer, and he learned a lot about professional filmmaking. For him, shooting in the president’s hometown was indeed a fantastic opportunity. 

In May 2021, he worked with Netflix to provide performers and comedians with free COVID services so they could stage acts for charity causes during a live comedy event dubbed “Netflix is a Joke” held in LA. Over the course of three weeks, the show entertained thousands of people and raised money for more than 20 charities. It was a really proud moment for Dr. Brummer because he’s always looking for opportunities to give back to the community for all the love and support they have given him throughout. It’s undoubtedly one of the most memorable projects for him because he got the opportunity to work with everyone, including Seth Rogan and Cobra Kai, as well as work with Netflix South America while ensuring their safety as they filmed at the LA event.

From becoming an award-winning physician to producing movies and dramas with Netflix, it has been an incredible journey for Dr. Brummer.
