Taylor Swift finished another historic run at the 50th American Music Awards on Sunday at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
ABC and Dick Clark Productions collaborated to produce the show. Meanwhile, Wayne Brady hosted the show. In its 50-year run, the American Music Awards celebrates and awards the best music and performances of the entertainment world. Bad Bunny, a performer from Puerto Rico, bagged the most nominations with eight and ended the night with two wins, including Favorite Male Latin Artist and Favorite Latin Album.
However, Taylor made history as AMA’s most decorated artist. She now serves as the artist with the most award from the organization, with 40 wins throughout her career. During the 50th awards night, she bagged the title for all her nominations, including the most sought-after award at the AMAs, the artist of the Year.

Taylor thanks her fans
The singer/songwriter thanked her fans when she wanted to claim her award on stage. According to her, her fans worldwide give her the strength and inspiration to continue making music that moves.
“In the past few years, I have released more music than I did in the decade preceding that. I feel like that’s down to the fact that you, the fans, made it clear that you wanted to hear lots of music. So I found that the more music I made [and] the more music I put out, the happier I was,” she said.
“I have the fans to thank, essentially, for my happiness. I love you more than I can say. And I cannot express how unbelievable it is that I get to do this and that you still care. So, thank you, underlined with 13 exclamation points.”
Her historic AMA run follows the success of her Midnights album, which gained traction in recent weeks. With the album, Taylor became the most streamed song on Spotify. She also bagged all of the Top 10 spots on Billboard’s chart, making her the only artist to sweep the top 10 charts with songs from a single album.
