It all started with the seed of an idea, much like the humble beginnings of a grapevine. But instead of producing wine, The Vine Foundation is growing something far more important: hope.

Established by entrepreneur Adria Dunn, this organization has expanded from a modest initiative into a force for philanthropy and cultural diplomacy. Its journey exemplifies the power of collective action in solving pressing global issues.

The Vine Foundation recognizes the power of human connection. Adria Dunn emphasizes this point: “We live in an interconnected world where the challenges we face are increasingly complicated and global in nature.”

She adds that The Vine Foundation provides a platform for those with the means and the will to make a difference to come together, share knowledge, and collaborate on solutions that can have a real, lasting impact.

A Seed of Hope in Challenging Times

The Vine Foundation’s story began on March 1st, 2020, with a simple aim: to bring together a select group of individuals possessing the knowledge, proficiency, and financial resources to raise funds for charity.

Adria Dunn could not have anticipated that her timing would prove so timely. She explains, “One month later, the global pandemic struck, spurring the network to expand under its new title of The Vine™. Since its establishment, it has grown to more than 9,000 people from 70 countries who unite for philanthropic causes and cultural diplomacy.”

This unforeseen growth led to the formation of The Vine Foundation, which now acts as a channel for philanthropic causes.

The Vine Foundation has a diverse and influential community. Adria Dunn proudly states, “Through our global network of world leaders, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), family offices, and centers of influence, The Vine Foundation and community has saved lives and raised millions for charity worldwide.”  The millions raised showcase this potent coalition’s capacity to use collective resources and knowledge for maximum impact.

MOSAIC: Where Art, Technology, and Philanthropy Converge

One of The Vine Foundation’s most anticipated events is MOSAIC, scheduled for October 26 to 27, 2024, at the historic Royaumont Abbey in France.

MOSAIC aims to explore the role of art and technology in advancing unity, cultural exchange, and positive global impact. According to its founder, attendees will experience performances, exhibitions, and discussions that discuss shared humanity and make way for a brighter, more connected future.

The Vine Foundation event boasts an impressive lineup of speakers and artists, including Stephen Ibaraki of Artificial Intelligence for Good; broadcaster, publisher, and TV personality Norah Casey; modern surrealist, digital artist, painter, and sculptor Marcel van Luit.

This array of thought leaders and creatives highlights The Vine Foundation’s dedication to bringing together voices from various disciplines and backgrounds to address global challenges.

The Book of Hope: A Literary Tribute to Resilience

In addition to organizing impactful events, The Vine Foundation has also ventured into publishing. Its book, “The Vine: Messages of Hope from Around the World,” is a tribute to human resilience and the enduring power of hope.

Adria Dunn shares the inspiration behind the book: “I felt the arrival of the global pandemic was a pivotal moment in history when every one of us became united by a virus that did not care about status, location, political or religious affiliation, skin color, or gender. It taught us we cannot succeed without the cooperation of others and how we all suffer to some degree.”

The Vine Foundation’s book features 47 letters from some of the world’s most inspiring figures, including His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Dr. Jane Goodall, Dr. Edith Eger, Rick Hansen, Peter Hillary, and Djimon Hounsou.

Some have experienced losses due to war, accidents, natural disasters, and tragedy, yet they all have one thing in common: the ability to find hope even in the darkest of moments,” Dunn reflects. “The Vine is a guiding light reminding us to keep moving onward, that we are all connected, and to never lose hope.”

Expanding Reach and Impact

The Vine Foundation continues to grow, and Adria Dunn and her team are focused on expanding its reach and deepening its impact.

Future initiatives include developing more targeted programs to address specific global challenges, expanding its network of partners and collaborators and using technology to facilitate more efficient philanthropic efforts. It is also set to launch more educational initiatives to inspire the next generation of global changemakers.

“Our goal is to influence positive change,” Adria Dunn concludes. “When we connect the right people and encourage ideas, we believe we can contribute to building a more equitable, sustainable, and hopeful world for all.”

Indeed, The Vine Foundation is an example of how collective action, guided by hope and fueled by connection, can address some of the world’s most pressing challenges.
