Today, he looks back to his humble beginnings in the industry as he shares his challenging journey with the world in this exclusive interview.

Q: Thank you so much for joining us in this interview series! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

Tyrone: Throughout my life, it hasn’t been easy for me. While growing up as a child, my family was in deep poverty. My family and I didn’t have much, and most of the time, we would try to come up with ways to get money or even put food on the table. My mother was a single parent, and she tried her best raising my siblings and me. My father left when I was super young due to his drug addiction. There were moments when he was there for us, and then there were moments when he became the monster. He would physically abuse my mother every day. There was even a time when he put his hands on me. My face was so messed up that I couldn’t even go to school.

I realize in this world, we have to take our power back from those who hurt us. I’m my own hero. I don’t need to be rescued because I have to rescue myself. These hardships and more pushed me to go into my career path as an entertainer with a millennial flare who wears many hats.

Q: Can you tell us a story about the hard times that you faced when you first started your journey?

Tyrone: I used to be homeless numerous times throughout the years, and I didn’t want to live on the streets anymore. I decided to get a job in retail at the Beverly Center. I didn’t want to do it because I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Game Art & Design at The Art Institute of California – Los Angeles. I wanted to use my degree in some way, so I decided to create a website for my own company called TYRONE EVANS CLARK Incorporation. While working in my painful sales job, I would pick up clients on the side from my online platform.

Q: So, how are things going today? How did grit and resilience lead to your eventual success?

A: I got tired of struggling and living from paycheck to paycheck. I wanted more for my life. I didn’t want to settle for less. Life is way too short to live a life of unhappiness. Today, I’m doing fantastic, and I’m not living paycheck from paycheck because I was one of the ones who decided to be my own boss. I’m successful due to my hard work and people-person skills.

Q: What do you think makes your company stand out?

A: I think what makes my company stand out is the fact I’m a millennial with an ’80s vibe, and I pay super close attention to details regarding clients’ requests.

Every client ends up leaving TEC Inc., super happy and satisfied. I remember this client who I helped with her campaign. My team gave her what she wanted and more. “You are the best, and I will be coming again for other things, and I will be referring my friends to you too,” says the campaign client.

From that point on, I knew my company was a force to be reckoned with! Coal under a lot of harsh pressure and heat always turns to diamonds.

Q: Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them thrive and not “burnout”?

A: Always stay focused on the most important things. We call this order of importance. You don’t want to overwhelm yourself with so many duties and clients. You are not Superman or Superwoman. Some people are equipped that way, but I know that there are moments in life when we all need some TLC and good support from others. It takes a great team to accomplish goals. In a nutshell, you can’t do it by yourself. You need beautiful people around you to keep your journey to success nice and smooth.
