Love to ski? Then, living in Colorado is a must. Maybe access to so much nature and so many outdoor activities is why Colorado is the ninth healthiest state in the country, according to U.S. News & World Report. Living in Colorado is like living in an outdoor paradise with gorgeous mountains, clear water lakes, and beautiful forests, but living here can be costly. Tomo, a real estate and mortgage company, wanted to help and looked at the recent homes on the market and curated a quick list of inexpensive homes in Colorado. They break it down by city to make it a more useful list:

  • Cheap homes for sale in Aurora, CO:  Aurora is a vibrant city located in the Denver metropolitan area and is the third-largest city in Colorado by population, spanning across Arapahoe, Adams, and Douglas counties. It is situated east of Denver and covers a diverse range of neighborhoods and communities. As in many towns in Colorado, residents of Aurora enjoy access to a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities. The city is home to several parks, golf courses, and open spaces, including Cherry Creek State Park, which offers hiking, biking, boating, and picnicking. There are many school districts here as well, including Aurora Public Schools and Cherry Creek Schools, known for their commitment to academic excellence. The city is also home to the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and other educational institutions. Another great feature of living in this town is its proximity to Denver International Airport (DIA) and major highways, providing convenient transportation options for residents and businesses.
  • Cheap homes for sale in Denver, CO: Nestled against the backdrop of the majestic Rocky Mountains, Denver stands as a vibrant metropolis brimming with cultural diversity and natural beauty. Known for its sunny weather and panoramic views, Denver offers an unparalleled outdoor playground with easy access to hiking, skiing, and exploring the great outdoors. Yet, Denver is more than just its stunning landscapes. As the Mile High City, it boasts a rich history intertwined with the spirit of the Old West, evident in its charming Victorian architecture and bustling neighborhoods. The city pulses with creativity, evident in its thriving arts scene, from galleries and museums to lively street art and cultural festivals. Denver boasts the 10th largest downtown in America and is one of the most exciting and walkable; they also boast 300 days of sunshine per year. There is nothing NOT to love about Denver!
  • Find cheap homes for sale in Englewood, CO: Englewood is a welcoming city nestled in the Denver metropolitan area, known for its community-oriented atmosphere, vibrant neighborhoods, and convenient access to urban amenities and outdoor recreation. Located just south of Denver, Englewood is a reasonable drive to Denver International Airport. Englewood residents have ample opportunities to enjoy the outdoors with nearby parks, trails, and recreational facilities. The city’s extensive park system includes Belleview Park, offering picnicking, playgrounds, and a petting zoo, and the scenic High Line Canal Trail, perfect for walking, jogging, and cycling.
  • Find cheap homes for sale in Lakewood, CO: Lakewood, one of the largest cities in the Denver metropolitan area, is nestled at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. There are stunning views of the Rocky Mountains and easy access to outdoor recreation opportunities everywhere residents turn. The city is home to numerous parks, including Bear Creek Lake Park and William F. Hayden Green Mountain Park, which offers hiking trails, boating, fishing, and picnicking amidst natural landscapes.

Colorado living is special. Colorado.com sums it up best, “From the highest sand dunes in North America at Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve to 54 Rocky Mountain peaks that rise over 14,000 feet to red-rock formations that seem to rip from the earth to the rolling grasslands of the eastern plains, Colorado has one of the most unique and varied natural landscapes in the world — and it’s a playground for discovery year-round.” To find a home in this part of the country, and a cheap home at that, is a magical thing.
