Boise, Idaho—The Idaho Rural Water Association (IRWA), a nonprofit dedicated to supporting Idaho’s rural water and wastewater systems, has selected Ghost Brands as its branding agency to lead a comprehensive rebranding effort. This new initiative will bring a fresh look and perspective to IRWA’s mission, emphasizing its dedication to providing safe, sustainable water infrastructure to rural communities and fostering environmental stewardship.

IRWA has served Idaho’s communities for nearly four decades, offering essential training, advocacy, and technical support to water operators who play a vital role in ensuring safe drinking water and effective wastewater management. The new partnership with Ghost Brands, known for its expertise in impactful storytelling and community-focused branding, aims to strengthen IRWA’s connection with the public and raise awareness of these systems’ critical role across the state.

“We are thrilled to work with Ghost Brands to elevate our mission and build stronger ties within our communities,” said Shelley Roberts, CEO of Idaho Rural Water Association. “Their experience in revitalizing brands for organizations with community-centered missions aligns perfectly with our vision. This rebrand will allow us to more effectively share our story and highlight the work we do every day to support Idaho’s water infrastructure.”

The new IRWA branding will encompass updated visual assets, including a refreshed logo, dynamic digital materials, and enhanced storytelling through video and graphic design. Ghost Brands’ approach will capture the heart of IRWA’s work, from on-the-ground training initiatives to state and federal advocacy, underscoring the nonprofit’s ongoing commitment to public health and the environment. The rebrand is designed to resonate with IRWA’s current supporters and engage a broader audience, drawing attention to the essential role that rural water systems play in Idaho’s communities.

The collaboration reflects a shared vision to address the growing challenges rural water systems face, including aging infrastructure and evolving regulatory requirements. “This rebrand is more than a new look,” Roberts emphasized. “It’s an opportunity to deepen understanding of what we do and why it’s so important for every Idahoan.”

As IRWA and Ghost Brands bring this transformative project to fruition, Idaho’s rural water community can anticipate a new chapter that celebrates and elevates the essential services provided by the Idaho Rural Water Association. Briley added, “We’re excited to reveal a brand that honors IRWA’s legacy and inspires pride in Idaho’s water systems, setting the stage for a vibrant future.”

Ghost Brands plans to unveil IRWA’s refreshed look and brand in late 2024 or early 2025, allowing time for final revisions and touches to ensure the rebrand fully captures the association’s mission and impact.
