“There’s no standardization in chiropractic. Ten different chiropractors could give you ten different answers. We wanted to change that.”

Ivi Bifsha and his wife Jessica, both chiropractors, are striving to bring consistency, affordability, and trust back into chiropractic care. After running successful clinics and serving thousands of patients in Florida for over a decade, the couple launched Spine Labs—an innovative, standardized franchise model aimed at delivering quality chiropractic services across every location.

While still early in its digital presence, Spine Labs has already sold three franchise units—a notable milestone for any new franchisor.

From Frustration to Innovation

Ivi and Jessica opened their first clinic in 2014, soon after completing chiropractic school. They quickly identified a recurring issue in the industry: lack of consistency. Patients could visit different chiropractors and receive differing diagnoses and treatment plans, even with similar symptoms.

“Patients either love chiropractic or they dislike it. And it usually depends on how consistent their experience has been,” Bifsha notes.

This inconsistency led to a sense of mistrust, prompting the creation of Spine Labs, designed to address this challenge.

A Standardized Approach

Spine Labs operates based on three core principles: bone, muscle, and nerve. Each patient undergoes a detailed orthopedic exam to determine whether their condition is muscle-related, joint-related, or nerve-related.

This leads to a personalized treatment plan that is tailored to each patient’s specific needs—something Bifsha emphasizes as a key feature across all franchise units.

“We created a system where patients receive the same exam, the same workup, and the same treatment options regardless of which location they visit,” he explains.

In addition to spinal adjustments, Spine Labs offers non-surgical spinal decompression therapy—commonly found only in high-priced treatment plans—for patients suffering from disc issues, sciatica, and chronic lower back pain. Each patient also receives a personalized at-home physical therapy plan based on their initial examination.

What sets Spine Labs apart is that this advanced therapy is included as part of an affordable monthly membership—a unique offering in the market.

Making Chiropractic Care More Accessible

Spine Labs uses a subscription-based model with several service options. A basic plan costs $49/month and includes one visit, with additional visits priced at $29 each. Patients who need more frequent care can choose the $89/month plan, which covers weekly visits and reduces the cost of extra visits to $10.

For those needing spinal decompression therapy, memberships start at $79/month and include a chiropractic visit. A popular option, priced at $189/month, includes four visits per month and provides substantial savings compared to the typical $120–$150 per session prices elsewhere.

The idea, according to Bifsha, is straightforward: “Provide a service that can help improve people’s quality of life—and make it something they can afford.”

Built for Scale, Designed for Trust

Despite being a relatively new brand, Spine Labs benefits from years of experience. Bifsha has successfully grown seven healthcare practices and has built a strong reputation in Orlando. He structured Spine Labs to be scalable without compromising quality, relying on well-documented SOPs, operational systems, and trained staff to ensure consistency across locations.

Even the franchise model is designed for long-term growth. Startup costs are under $200,000, significantly lower than competing franchises. The layout is open-concept and streamlined, allowing franchisees to operate more efficiently.

While Bifsha is growing steadily, he emphasizes a measured approach: “I’ve had businesses grow too quickly during COVID. I don’t want that again. We’re doing this right, one step at a time.”

A Business—and Marriage—Built on Alignment

At the heart of Spine Labs is a partnership. Ivi and Jessica have worked side-by-side for over a decade, balancing patient care, operations, and business development. Their shared values and commitment to patient-centered care are reflected in every franchise unit.

Their approach appears to be working. While Spine Labs is still a young brand, its first location is growing.

As for the future, the couple is focused on refining the business model, supporting their new franchisees, and growing at a responsible pace.

“We’re not just selling a brand,” Ivi says. “We’re building something meant to last.”
