Actress Harriet Bridgwater is becoming a recognized Scream Queen within the indie horror scene. In collaboration with filmmaker N.I. Moreno, and as part of Full Circle’s upcoming independent cinema event this summer, Harriet will star in a double feature of N.I. Moreno’s films, “Daniel Is Lost” and “Intruders.”

Inside “Daniel Is Lost”

The first film to be featured, “Daniel Is Lost,” is a surreal, tragic musical in which Harriet plays the grieving young mother, Gris.

Harriet brings emotional depth to the character of Gris. At the loss of her baby, Gris questions her faith and renounces God. Harriet portrays Gris’ pain and rage, culminating in a war cry.

Julian Chavez (known for “Welcome to Steelstown”) plays Daniel, a young father battling financial crisis while struggling to deal with grief and support his partner through her deteriorating mental health.

In desperation, Daniel attempts to avenge his lost loved ones by seeking violent justice.

Bryan Barrios features as “Jack,” the antagonistic personification of Daniel’s dark impulses. Jack encourages Daniel’s violent acts, acting as a metaphorical devil on his shoulder.

There is a real struggle represented within the film, tied to prevalent social issues such as access to healthcare. The film reflects the constant, mundane struggles that place enormous pressure on families. This pressure builds throughout the story before reaching devastating consequences.

“Daniel Is Lost” is a stylish film, screened in black and white and interwoven with haunting songs and cinematic framing. The film is set to premiere in August.

Stepping Into “Intruders”

The second film to be screened, “Intruders,” is already entering the film festival circuit, with screenings at the Thilsri Film Festival and Film It, West Covina Film Festival.

Harriet stars as the lead final girl, Chloe, a grieving sister who discovers the terrifying truth behind her brother’s perceived suicide.

Harriet portrays Chloe in a nuanced performance. Through her portrayal, Chloe is emotionally resilient, layered with a deep, driving need for closure and truth.

Throughout the film, Chloe seeks guidance and support from her sister Ava (voice acted by Noemi Vagara). Through the strength of their relationship, the distance in their bond with their late brother is highlighted. Chloe is in touch with her innate intuition, and as the film progresses, her curiosity becomes closely tied to it. She senses a presence beyond her current comprehension, the feeling that something is “off” and that someone is watching.

Through minimal dialogue, Harriet brings viewers into Chloe’s world through her eyes.

Working With Filmmaker N.I. Moreno

N.I. Moreno is an independent filmmaker, cinematographer, and editor in Los Angeles, with involvement in the commercial world, including stylized promotion for Matt Beast’s Team Championships featuring Eddie Bravo. Moreno specializes in horror in conjunction with faith, such as his film “The Witness,” as well as in-depth real-life documentaries such as “When We Die,” “Ghosts,” and “Pony.”

A Growing Body of Horror Work

Harriet Bridgwater is no stranger to horror, having starred in Aron Rudner-Stokell’s “Feast” with PH2 Pictures, a nostalgic horror B-movie. “Feast” is currently touring the festival circuit, including appearances at the Spooky Empire Film Festival in Florida and the Silicon Beach Film Festival at the TCL Chinese Theatre.

Harriet will also star in an upcoming feature thriller by Steve Royall, set for release on TUBI next year.

She will play the lead final girl, Angela, in a suspense thriller exploring co-dependency and destructive behavior within abusive relationships. Angela is a fiercely complex, morally ambiguous character. Harriet will star alongside Daniel Nedow (known for “Dating a Narcissist”) and Ruben Perez.
