Once again, the 2024 Cannes Film Festival has affirmed its status as one of the most prestigious global events in cinema. Each year, the caliber of films, both in competition and out of competition, has delighted seasoned critics worldwide.
As always, the red carpet premieres have showcased the stars of world cinema, featuring both new faces and beloved returns to the scene.
Alongside the entertainment luminaries, notable figures from the realms of economics, culture, and civil society have also graced the Festival, underscoring its significance beyond the realm of cinematic art.
A familiar face among the guests is Swiss financier Christopher Aleo, CEO of the iSwiss banking group, who attended with his partner, entrepreneur Simona Jakstaite. The couple attended some of the Festival’s most significant screenings, including Paolo Sorrentino’s “Parthenope” and “The Count of Monte Cristo.”
During these events, where the couple caught the photographers’ attention, particularly for Simona Jakstaite’s elegance and style in haute couture, they engaged in particularly intriguing encounters.
“I had the pleasure of meeting a uniquely talented and beautiful star like Cate Blanchett,” Aleo remarked, marking his third consecutive year attending the Cannes Film Festival. “It’s always a meaningful experience to meet individuals whose work resonates and captivates audiences worldwide.”
However, as mentioned earlier, Cannes is not just about glamour and fashion shows. Many events have focused on important themes such as charity. Christopher Aleo made sure not to miss these opportunities.
“With Simona, we attended both the Mandela Foundation Gala, dedicated to honoring the legacy of one of history’s foremost human rights leaders,” Aleo shared. “It was an occasion to spotlight the dire situations facing children globally, from conflict to hunger.”

Johnson, recognized for his dedicated advocacy for children in recent years.
Another notable encounter was with Demi Moore, who returned to the limelight after an extended absence. Aleo met the American star at the 30th edition of the amfAR event, dedicated to fundraising for AIDS research.
