Recently named Best Compelling Author of the Year, recognized by Black Leaders Worldwide as one of the Men To Watch in 2025, and featured on the cover of Conglomerate Magazine as the USA’s Most Influential Motivational Speaker, Dr. Jean-Pierre has spent over a decade transforming lives through his words, wisdom, and leadership. With eight books and a message centered on turning pain into purpose, his influence spans continents, from empowering students to guiding leaders, encouraging individuals to rise into their potential. Through speaking engagements, coaching, and writing, he continues to shape conversations around purpose, leadership, and personal growth.
Congratulations! You were recently named Best Compelling Author of the Year. What can you say about this remarkable moment in your career?
Dr. Josias: This year marks 10 years in the authorship industry. I am 10 years and 8 books in. To be named the Best Compelling Author of the Year is beyond me. I’m speechless thinking about it because that means the impact is happening locally, nationally, and internationally.

You were also recognized by Black Leaders Worldwide as one of the Men To Watch in 2025. What would you like to share for our readers to get to know you better?
Dr. Josias: I am all about vision, vision, and vision. Being named one of the Men To Watch in 2025 by Black Leaders Worldwide just exemplifies the impact that is being made.
As someone featured on the cover of Conglomerate Magazine as the USA’s Most Influential Motivational Speaker, what does it mean to you to have your work celebrated not just by audiences but by industry peers and thought leaders?
Dr. Josias: Again, I can say it’s vision, vision, and vision. I had this vision of becoming this voice for my generation and to be named by a major magazine company and blessed the cover of the magazine it just means that when you stay true to the vision and keep on planting seeds, things might fall out of place just to make room for things to fall right in place.
Many of your books focus on turning pain into purpose and messes into messages. Can you share a moment in your personal journey where an unexpected challenge directly influenced a key principle you now teach in your books?
Dr. Josias: My personal journey is when I was told by peers, educators, adults to give up and throw in the towel because of the setbacks that I was facing. The setback of stuttering, disability, not grasping information quick enough, and I had to decide what voice I am going to believe and run with. And I chose to believe in my anchor which is Jesus Christ and download what he says over my life. And everything I have encountered is now being used for impact and turned around for the good.

Your books and speeches emphasize embracing identity and rising into potential without limits. Can you describe a moment when you saw a direct transformation in someone’s life because they applied one of your principles?
Dr. Josias: I was able to speak at a conference called SCORE (Students Of Color Opting To Reach Excellence) in this conference we attacked the I believe statement and I believe I am not statement and to write it down. And we had to attack where the belief stem from and ask self if they believe it about themselves. While doing the process, I told the students don’t worry about the folks next to you just focus on you. A year later, I came back to the conference and same students came back to tell me that their grades shifted from failing to excelling, and they are getting accepted to their dream schools, and because what was done at the conference, they are being careful with what is being downloaded into their lives.
In addition to writing and speaking, you are a visionary leader shaping conversations around purpose and leadership. What is next for you?
Dr. Josias: I am releasing a coaching business and working on book 9.
