Matt Ode Takes Center Stage as a Motivational Speaker and Mentor With His Story of Survival and Hope

Given the right amount of knowledge, charm, and personability, as well as a high degree of competence in public speaking, almost anyone can serve as a keynote motivational speaker. After all, it is relatively easy to absorb life lessons from books and other resources and regurgitate them back to a receptive crowd. However, encouraging others to persevere amidst challenges is one thing. Motivating them and guiding them toward a future that promises better days ahead without even having overcome the said struggles is another story. In Matt Ode’s case, he has managed to make waves as a speaker and mentor because his story speaks of resilience, grit, and hope.

Known for taking his audiences on an emotional rollercoaster, Matt Ode is on a mission to help individuals turn their setbacks into their superpowers and eliminate the “why me” victim mentality that naturally comes hand in hand with being catapulted into circumstances that are out of their control.

Matt Ode proves a testament to the power of hope and perseverance. He has overcome various hurdles in life. At the age of 24, he got diagnosed with stage 3C testicular cancer. After undergoing chemotherapy and an immensely complicated surgery intended to remove the remaining cancer cells from his body, he encountered medical complications that put him under the watch of the intensive care unit for over forty days. Furthermore, while in the care of the Cleveland Clinic for fifty-three days, the inspirational icon suffered from several near-death experiences, including Kidney and liver failure causing his body to shut down into a 2 week non- induced coma, five major surgeries that caused a large open wound in his stomach, and a cardiac arrest where nurses had to perform eight minutes of CPR to bring him back to life.

From guiding people in their pursuit of a healthier lifestyle as a personal trainer before his diagnosis and subsequent treatment, Matt Ode had to contend with the reality of a disease that caused his body to dwindle to a mere 110 pounds from being a 185 lbs and healthy months ago. All of these experiences now fuel Matt’s drive to leave a mark in people’s lives. After three years of hard work and deep internal discoveries, this beacon of hope is as vibrant, enthusiastic, and energetic as ever, helping individuals transform their minds, bodies, and spirits.

The transformation coach and highly sought-after keynote inspirational speaker sheds light on the fact that life’s setbacks are lessons that can enable people to grow into the best version of themselves. Through the Facebook group Matt Ode created in October 2020 for cancer survivors, patients, and caregivers, he has built a supportive community of over 3.2k members marked by empathy, understanding, and more. At the helm of this platform, he lends a hand to individuals as they journey toward overcoming the mental, emotional, and physical aspects of cancer.

With his story, Matt Ode has made a difference in the lives of countless individuals and will continue to do so in the coming years. Planning to collaborate with top industries, organizations, and celebrities in the future, he aims to create a life changing Mentorship platform and grace massive stages in the corporate and nonprofit realm, sharing stories and lessons that people can bank on to overcome adversity.
