Tiny homes are exactly what you think…tiny. They are small, compact dwellings that typically range from around 100 to 400 square feet in size, but the exact definition can vary. Tiny homes have gained popularity over the years due to its many advantages:

  • Size. Smaller houses utilize space-saving designing and multifunctional furniture so every square inch is maximized. 
  • Affordability. This is one of the primary reasons why people choose the tiny home lifestyle. Tiny homes mean one can spend less money on home furnishings, construction and utilities, just to name a few of the expense savings. 
  • Sustainability. Tiny homes are often constructed using eco-friendly materials, energy efficient appliances and alternative energy sources such as solar panels.
  • Mobility. Some tiny homes are built on trailers giving their homeowners the opportunity to transport their home from one location to another. 

Tiny homes offer a unique way of life, and typically appeal to those that value simplicity, sustainability and financial freedom. At Tomo, we looked at tiny homes for sale around the country, and here are a few places to find tiny homes in Texas:

  • Tiny Homes for sale in Galvenston, TX: Galvenston is a coastal city located on Galveston Island in the Gulf of Mexico, and to find a beach tiny home is like finding an oyster in a shell, but they are out there! Galveston has a rich history dating back to the early 19th century. It was an important port city and played a significant role in Texas history, serving as the largest city in the state for a time. The city has experienced devastating hurricanes, most notably the Great Storm of 1900, which remains one of the deadliest natural disasters in U.S. history.

Houston is the largest city in Texas and the fourth-largest city in the United States by population. It is known for its diverse economy, cultural diversity, and vibrant arts scene. It is a major economic hub with a diverse economy driven by industries such as energy (oil and gas), healthcare, aerospace, manufacturing, and technology. The city is home to the headquarters of numerous Fortune 500 companies and is known for its entrepreneurial spirit and business-friendly environment.1x
