US Reporter’s 10 Women Entrepreneurs

Women have taken great strides in history. They have fought for more freedom and access to countless opportunities they were denied in the past. Women also had to overcome stereotypes and systemic sexism. Today, through years of building and spreading empowerment across the globe, women have not only been able to join the workforce but are also leading and creating more opportunities as entrepreneurs. Businesswomen have successfully landed top executive positions, and many have ventured into building their own companies. That being said, here is our list of top women entrepreneurs to follow in 2021.

  1. Oprah

Born on January 29, 1954, in Kosciusko, Mississippi, Oprah Winfrey is one of the most notable television personalities, actresses, and female entrepreneurs today. She is best known for her widely syndicated talk show, which propelled her name as a mainstream media powerhouse. At 19, Oprah became a news anchor for the local CBS television station in Nashville, Tennessee, where she moved during her early teens to live with her father. Following her graduation from Tennessee State University in 1976, she became a reporter and co-anchor at the ABC News affiliate in Baltimore. Showing great promise as the host of AM Chicago in 1984, opportunities eventually came flooding her way until finally the program was renamed The Oprah Winfrey Show in 1986.

  1. Tanya Beverley

Tanya Beverley Grew up in Upper Darby Pennsylvania. She was the youngest of four children and her mother was a single parent trying to make ends meet and keep food on the table. Tanya was always very driven since she was a kid. Hyper and eager to get out into the world and become a leader, Tanya decided to take the fast life.
