Led by Irma (known as @irmanase), a seasoned choreographer and instructor with over 17 years of experience in hip hop and additional training in jazz, contemporary, and ballet, AA Studio LA emphasizes technical precision, creative expression, and personal growth. Irma has built a strong reputation through her dynamic choreography—seen in popular routines set to artists like Aaliyah, Tamia, and others—and her ability to guide students from beginners to advanced levels. Her classes, including beginner hip hop, vogue femme training, and kids’ sessions, foster a supportive community where dancers can explore and refine their artistry.
The studio’s mission is simple yet powerful: to help individuals find themselves through dance. It provides a safe, empowering environment. Students appreciate the professional yet approachable atmosphere, where Irma’s expertise creates transformative learning experiences. Beyond group classes, AA Studio LA offers private coaching, custom choreography, and on-camera training, making it a go-to spot for those preparing for auditions, music videos, or personal projects.
Among their already impressive faculty, AA Studio LA is adding some international talent, Justone Du Plessis. Justone will be teaching all things technical, from jazz to contemporary to stretch classes, he will for sure be an incredible asset. Justone brings a wealth of knowledge from working with South African super stars to the world largest cruise corporation. Irmana says that Los Angeles will thrive in the inspirational vibe he brings.
Justone is grateful to have the opportunity to pass on his knowledge and inspire dancers to believe in themselves. Coming from a challenging environment such as South Africa he is ready to teach dancers how to find their artistry and make their wildest dreams come true.
