WASHINGTON, March 4, 2026 – The Broker Action Coalition (BAC), riding the momentum of its landmark victory with the Homebuyers Privacy Protection Act now going into effect this week, has launched a week-long fundraising campaign targeting individual mortgage brokers across the country. The campaign runs March 2–6 and is aimed at cultivating a sustainable, grassroots funding base to support the organization’s growing advocacy agenda.

“We’ve proven what we can accomplish when brokers have a seat at the table,” said Brendan McKay, Chief Advocacy Officer for BAC. “But this is just the beginning. We need brokers to step up and support the work that directly benefits their businesses and their clients.”

The campaign spotlights recurring monthly donations starting at just $5, an amount BAC messaging describes as “the cost of one Starbucks drink.” Though the organization has historically been sustained by corporate partnerships, this effort signals a deliberate move toward a wider base of individual broker support.

“We want our corporate partners to see that we have backing from the community we serve,” said Rachel Clark, Executive Director of BAC. “Individual broker support strengthens our voice and demonstrates the industry-wide commitment to the reforms we’re fighting for.”

The initiative arrives as BAC extends its advocacy focus well beyond trigger lead reform, with new priorities including lower credit report costs, LO comp reform, and shielding brokers from regulatory overreach.

Contributions will fund BAC’s 2026 legislative agenda, day-to-day advocacy operations, and the infrastructure needed to keep broker interests represented in regulatory discussions. As in prior years, the organization plans to announce its corporate partners for the coming year in the months ahead.
